Selena Gomez - an international singer and actress - is well-known worldwide. Her Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place is one of her biggest success projects. Selena Marie Gomez has a full name. Selena Gomez, born Grand Prairie in Texas on July 22nd, 1992. Her parents were Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez. Selena's mom was 16 years old at the time her birth. When she was 9 the actress got her first job as a showgirl after she was offered the role as Gianna on Barney and her Friends. Thus she became one of the children that performed with the most well-known anthropomorphic purple dinosaur in history. Selena was involved in several episodes in season 7 and 8 between 2001 and2003. Selena was not the only performer who appeared in Barney and His Friends in this time period. Demi Loveto also worked with the show. Selena Gomez had a few auditions for various films and shows after the end of the show Barney and his Friends. The auditions were not successful. Her role was a little smaller in Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3D Game Over) in 2003 and an additional role in 2004 as Julie as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire. She also was given the part of Emily Grace Garcia in the 2005 Brain Zapped program for which she composed a tune.
